For applications requiring increased atmospheric purity in static tube furnaces, we recommend the Nabertherm Gas Supply Systems 15 and 2. Unlike the basic System 1, these systems are **gas-tight**, utilizing stainless steel flanges to seal the working tube. This allows for operation under defined non-flammable gas atmospheres (N2, Ar, He, Air, Forming Gas*) or vacuum.
System 15 (Standard Gas-Tight)
The Gas Supply System 15 is the cost-effective solution for furnaces up to 1300 °C with tube diameters up to 120 mm. It features a heat radiation protection package that cools the flanges without needing a water connection. Note: With this system, the tube must not be opened while hot, and it is not suitable for high-vacuum turbomolecular pumps.
System 2 (Water-Cooled / High Vacuum)
The Gas Supply System 2 is the professional choice for high temperatures, larger tubes, or high vacuum applications. It features water-cooled stainless steel flanges (cooling water supply required). This system is robust and compatible with turbomolecular pumps for achieving high vacuum.
Standard Equipment (Both Systems):
- Gas-Tight Tube: Includes an extended gas-tight working tube (C 610 for up to 1300 °C, or C 799 for above 1300 °C).
- Stainless Steel Flanges: Two vacuum-tight flanges with a KF flange on the outlet side.
- Gas Panel: Includes a gas panel for one non-flammable process gas with a shut-off valve and flow meter.
- Safety Check: Includes a check valve in the gas outlet to prevent air from entering.
- Mounting: Includes a mounting system to secure the flanges to the furnace.
*Note: Country-specific regulations for permissible mixture ratios (e.g., forming gas) must be observed.
