Split-Type Tube Furnaces for Horizontal and Vertical Operation up to 1300 °C
The Nabertherm Split-Type Tube Furnace (RS Series) is a professional “Made in Germany” furnace for horizontal or vertical use. Its key split-type design allows for easy tube changes. Available in 1100°C or 1300°C with advanced options like three-zone control, gas, and vacuum packages. C550 controller is standard.
The Nabertherm Split-Type Tube Furnace (RS Series) is a professional and universal furnace for advanced laboratory processes. Its “Made in Germany” design offers maximum flexibility, allowing for either horizontal or vertical operation (with an optional frame). The key feature is its split-type construction, which allows the furnace to be opened (up to 180 °C) for easy changing of the working tube. This is ideal for labs running multiple processes or using different tube materials.
These furnaces use high-quality, free-radiating heating elements on support tubes for excellent uniformity. They also come standard with the advanced C550 controller, making them ready for complex, multi-segment heating ramps and data logging right out of the box.
Standard Equipment:
- “Made in Germany” Quality: Engineered for universal, high-performance lab use.
- Max Temperature: Available as 1100 °C (Type N thermocouple) or 1300 °C (Type S thermocouple) models.
- Split-Type Design: Furnace housing can be opened for simple insertion and changing of the working tube.
- Versatile Operation: Designed as a tabletop model for horizontal use; an optional frame converts it for vertical operation.
- Free-Radiating Heating: Heating elements are mounted on support tubes for efficient, long-lasting performance.
- Standard Working Tube: Includes a C 530 ceramic working tube and two fiber plugs for operation in air.
- Wide Size Range: Heated lengths from 250 mm to 1000 mm.
- RCF-Free Insulation: Exclusive use of high-quality insulation materials without categorization (non-carcinogenic).
- Durable Housing: Dual-shell ventilated housing made of textured stainless steel sheets.
- Advanced Controller: Comes standard with the powerful **C550 controller** (10 programs, 20 segments).
- Quiet Operation: Uses solid-state relays for low-noise heating.
- Data Recording: Includes NTLog Basic for recording process data via a USB flash drive.
The Nabertherm RS Series is a highly modular platform. It can be upgraded to a sophisticated process furnace with a wide range of advanced, “Made in Germany” accessories.
Available Options & Accessories:
-
- Vertical Operation Frame: A stand to operate the furnace in a vertical position.
- Three-Zone Control: Available for all models to achieve the highest level of temperature uniformity.
- Charge Control: Allows for temperature measurement directly within the working tube (requires a sensor port).
- Gas Supply Systems: A wide range of gas supply systems (1, 15, or 2) are available for operating with non-flammable protective or reactive gases.
- Vacuum Package: A powerful vacuum package, including a rotary vane pump, allows for processes in a vacuum up to 10-2 mbar.
- Cooling Systems: Optional forced cooling systems for accelerated cooling of the working tube and charge.
…
- Tube Adapter Shells: Allows for the use of smaller diameter tubes within a larger furnace.
- Process Control Software: Integrate your furnace with the powerful VCD software package for comprehensive, PC-based process control, monitoring, and documentation.
