Built upon a stress-relieved DIN 00 granite base and vertical cantilever column, the IMI-CNC utilizes Panasonic closed-loop AC servo motors on all three axes (X, Y, and Z). Equipped with 0.0005 mm (0.5 μm) sub-micron optical linear glass scales, the machine achieves volumetric measuring accuracy of E2 = ±(2.5 + L/200) μm, controlled intuitively via an ergonomic 3-axis joystick with high/low speed toggles.

The optical system features a megapixel gigabit digital camera, 4-ring 8-sector independently programmable surface LED lighting, coaxial top light, and parallel contour backlight. The sophisticated Jingstone CNC software enables automated CNC batch program execution, automatic focus tracking, sub-pixel edge detection, multi-part fixturing coordinate offsets, and direct CAD comparison with DXF drawing overlays for instant reverse engineering.
