Gradient or Lab Strand Annealing Furnaces up to 1300 °C
The Nabertherm Gradient Furnace (GR 1300/13) is a “Made in Germany” furnace for special applications. It features **6 independent heating zones** to create a stable temperature gradient (up to 400°C) over its 1300 mm length. Moreover, it can be used as a top-loading gradient furnace or a side-loading **lab strand annealing furnace**.
The Nabertherm Gradient Furnace GR 1300/13 is a highly specialized “Made in Germany” furnace for advanced thermal processing. Nabertherm divides the furnace chamber into **six control zones** of equal length, and a separate controller manages the temperature in each zone. Consequently, you can stabilize a maximum temperature gradient of 400 °C over the 1300 mm heated length.
This furnace is incredibly versatile. For example, you can charge it from the top (using the included fiber separators) or from the side, thanks to the parallel swivel door. Furthermore, you can order it with a second door on the opposite side to function as a professional lab strand annealing furnace.
Standard Equipment:
Every GR 1300/13 furnace includes these premium “Made in Germany” features:
- Max Temperature: 1300 °C.
- Six-Zone Control: The 1300 mm heated length is divided into six independent heating zones (each 160 mm) for precise gradient control.
- Free-Radiating Heating: Heating elements are mounted on support tubes for free heat radiation.
- Dual Charging Design: You can charge the furnace from the top (lid with gas damper suspension) or from the side (parallel swivel door).
- Fiber Separators: Includes separators for dividing the chamber into six equally sized zones.
- Durable Housing: Dual-shell ventilated housing made of textured stainless steel for low surface temperatures.
- RCF-Free Insulation: Exclusive use of high-quality, non-carcinogenic insulation materials.
- Advanced Controller: Comes standard with the H1700 controller for multi-zone management.
- Precision Control: High-quality Type S thermocouple.
- Quiet Operation: Uses solid-state relays for low-noise heating.
You can upgrade your Nabertherm Gradient Furnace to meet even more specific process requirements, such as a 1400 °C max temperature or vertical operation.
Available Options & Accessories:
- Increased Control: The furnace can be designed with up to ten independent control zones.
- Lab Strand Annealing: You can add a second parallel swing door on the opposite side.
- Vertical Operation: This model can be built as a vertical strand furnace instead of horizontal.
- 1400 °C Model: An optional model with a Tmax of 1400 °C is available.
- Process Control Software: Integrate your furnace with the powerful VCD software package for comprehensive, PC-based process control, monitoring, and documentation.
