Nabertherm Exhaust Systems and Chimneys for Muffle Furnaces

Nabertherm offers a range of “Made in Germany” exhaust systems to safely manage fumes and gases generated during heat treatment. Consequently, you can optimize your laboratory safety and comfort by choosing the right exhaust solution for your muffle furnace.

1. Exhaust Vent

The standard exhaust vent is designed for the collection and upstream direction of escaping gases. It connects to the exhaust outlet on the furnace to direct fumes away from the immediate workspace.

2. Chimney with Fan

For better performance, the Chimney with Fan actively removes exhaust gases from the furnace and discharges them. Furthermore, if you are using the B500 or P580 controllers, the controller can switch the fan on and off automatically (program-controlled). (Note: Automatic switching is not available for models L(T) 15.., L 1/12, LE 1/11, LE 2/11).

3. Catalytic Converter with Fan

The Catalytic Converter is the ultimate solution for processes involving organic components (like debinding or ashing). It catalytically cleans the exhaust at approx. 600 °C, breaking organic vapors down into carbon dioxide and water vapor. As a result, irritating odors are largely eliminated. Like the standard fan, the B500/P580 controllers can switch this unit automatically. (Note: Automatic switching is not available for models L(T) 9/14, L(T) 15.., L 1/12, LE 1/11, LE 2/11).

These exhaust systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with Nabertherm muffle furnaces. Please note the following connection details:

Connection Notes

• Automatic Operation: The chimney with fan and catalytic converter can be controlled directly by Nabertherm B500 and P580 controllers on supported furnace models.
• Manual Operation: If other controller types are used, you must order a separate adapter cable for connection to the mains supply. The device will simply be activated by plugging it into the socket.
