The GBPI W203 2.0 is an advanced, laboratory-grade electrolytic water vapor permeability analyzer engineered for the quantitative moisture barrier assessment of plastic films, composite laminates, sheets, and flexible packaging materials. Designed in strict compliance with the international standard ISO 15106-3, DIN 53122-2, ASTM E398, GB/T 21529, and pharmaceutical YBB 00092003 protocols, this benchtop analyzer delivers outstanding reproducibility and baseline stability for quality control and research laboratories.

Moisture barrier determination is vital for ensuring product shelf life in the food, pharmaceutical, medical device, and daily chemical packaging sectors. The GBPI W203 2.0 operates on the standardized electrolytic detection method: a prepared test specimen is clamped securely between the dry carrier gas chamber and the controlled humidity chamber. Driven by the moisture gradient across the material, water vapor molecules permeate through the film into the flowing dry carrier gas stream, which conveys them directly into an electrolytic P2O5 sensor. Within the sensor cell, moisture is completely absorbed and electrolyzed into hydrogen and oxygen gas, generating an electrolytic current strictly proportional to the moisture mass flow rate per Faraday's law of electrolysis.

Three Independent Parallel Testing Chambers

To maximize testing throughput, the GBPI W203 2.0 electrolytic water vapor permeability analyzer features three independent test cells within a single unified platform. Each cell possesses dedicated gas flow controls and temperature regulation, enabling testing of three identical samples concurrently to produce validated statistical averages, or testing three separate material formulations simultaneously without cross-contamination.

Integrated Touchscreen & Thermodynamic Management

Equipped with a built-in industrial Windows touchscreen display as well as comprehensive PC software communication, the instrument allows operators to run tests independently without an external computer. An automated internal temperature management loop maintains test temperatures from 15 °C to 45 °C with ±0.1 °C accuracy, paired with dynamic humidity generation covering dry 0% RH up to 100% RH saturation.

The companion analytical software provides real-time permeation curves, automated leak detection, multi-tier user authority controls, and automated PDF test report exports meeting modern GMP quality management protocols.
