The GBPI GTR-10H is an advanced, high-precision gas permeation analysis system engineered specifically for analyzing the permeability, transmission rate, and separation factor of hazardous, flammable, and multi-component gas mixtures through polymer membranes, battery separators, fuel cell proton exchange membranes (PEM), and technical barrier films. Developed in full alignment with international testing protocols including ISO 15105-1, ASTM D1434, and JIS K7126, this hyphenated analytical system couples a high-stability permeation cell directly to an industrial gas chromatograph (GC) equipped with a high-sensitivity Thermal Conductivity Detector (TCD).

Traditional differential pressure or single-gas sensors are strictly limited to non-hazardous gases or cannot differentiate between individual constituents in gas mixtures. Operating as a comprehensive gas permeation analysis system, the GBPI GTR-10H overcomes these limitations by testing pure hydrogen (H&sub2;), methane (CH&sub4;), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO&sub2;), oxygen (O&sub2;), and nitrogen (N&sub2;), as well as complex multi-gas blends. A prepared membrane sample separates the test gas cell from the carrier gas stream. Under controlled feed pressures up to 300 kPa and regulated cell temperatures, permeating gas molecules are swept by high-purity carrier gas directly into the chromatographic separation column, where individual gas species are separated temporally and quantified by the micro-volume TCD detector.

Hydrogen Energy & Battery Barrier Testing

The GTR-10H is specifically configured with explosion-proof isolation manifolds and micro-leak safety containment, making it the premier choice for hydrogen energy research, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), hydrogen storage vessel liners, and biogas methane separation membranes.

Precise Thermodynamic & Chromatographic Control

The permeation module integrates circulating liquid bath thermal regulation, maintaining membrane test temperature from 15 °C to 60 °C with ±0.1 °C precision. Gas feed pressures are controlled from 0 to 300 kPa, facilitating comprehensive pressure-gradient permeation kinetics studies.

The system workstation features automated peak integration software that continuously calculates transmission rate curves, permeability coefficients, and multi-gas selectivity ratios, generating standard-compliant laboratory reports with complete audit traceability.
