- GR-M010 tests both dry and wet tensile conditions per TAPPI T456; GR-M020 tests paper-to-paper adhesion and surface bonding per TAPPI T826.

Overview
Cometech Series M grips are dedicated paper industry testing fixtures addressing two distinct paper testing standards — wet tensile (TAPPI T456) and compressive adhesion (TAPPI T826) — that cannot be performed with general-purpose tensile or compression grips.
The GR-M010 Finch Wet Tensile Strength Grip uses a curved jaw geometry to hold tissue and toilet paper specimens in both dry and wet conditions per TAPPI T456, with a wide 230mm specimen thickness accommodation to handle folded or multi-ply paper samples without damage.
The GR-M020 Short Distance Compressive Grip applies a controlled compressive load across a 30×30mm flat jaw face at up to 2kN per TAPPI T826 to test the internal bond and adhesion strength of coated or laminated paper surfaces.
