Overview
Cometech Series I grips are precision alignment fixtures for specimens requiring exact center alignment before load application — eliminating off-axis bending error in tensile, compression, and peel tests on brittle materials, adhesive joints, rods, and composites.
GR-I010 and GR-I01A are platen-style alignment grips providing ±25mm X-shift (uniaxial) or independent X and Y shift (biaxial) across a 60×60mm contact area, suitable for flat specimen compression tests at up to 200°C and 100°C respectively.
GR-I020 handles thicker and more irregular specimens with an 88mm jaw and 80mm thickness capacity, while GR-I030 is a dedicated screwed collet grip for rods and small diameter materials (1–9mm) at up to 500N load — providing secure, centered gripping without crushing slender specimens.
