Cometech Series F Grips | Metal Wire, Rod, Sheet & High-Tension Plastic
- Series F grips are heavy-duty wedge and ductile wedge grips for tensile testing of metal wire, rod, sheet, board, and high-tension plastics — 9 grip groups from F01 to F06 in multiple capacity levels (10kN–500kN) plus low-force ductile variants (1N and 5kN) for ductile metal and plastic specimens.
- Standard wedge grips: F01 (10kN), F02 (50kN), F03 (100kN), F04 (200kN), F05 (300kN), F06 (500kN); ductile wedge grips: 1N (15mm jaw) and 5kN (25mm jaw); each family includes A/B jaws for wire/board and F/G jaws for rod/tube.
- Jaw face widths: 30–50mm; minimum load cells: 1–30kN for heavy wedge grips, 20–50N for ductile grips; temperature limits −10 to +200°C (0–100°C for 500kN and some ductile models).
- Ideal for high-strength metal and plastic tensile testing, including rebar, rods, tubes, plates, and high-tension polymer specimens on Cometech universal testing machines.

Overview
Cometech Series F grips provide wedge-action clamping for medium to ultra-high strength materials, pairing self-tightening jaws with large test capacities from 10kN to 500kN for metals and high-tension plastics, plus dedicated low-force ductile wedge grips for softer, more ductile materials.
Each wedge grip capacity level (F01 to F06) is available with jaw sets optimized for different specimen geometries — A/B for metal wire and flat boards, F/G for rods and tubes — while the ductile wedge grips use narrower jaws and lower capacities to avoid premature necking or slippage on ductile metal sheets and rods.
All grips include high-strength steel bodies, high clamping efficiency, and temperature ratings up to 200°C (capacity dependent), making them suitable for structural materials testing, quality control, and research applications in metals and engineering plastics.
