Overview
The Cometech QC-DR3 Digital Rockwell Hardness Tester occupies the middle tier of the Cometech Rockwell range — above the manual dial QC-HR150A, and below the fully automatic QC-DR1 — by offering motorized load application and unloading, which removes the main source of operator-to-operator variation in Rockwell testing without requiring the full automatic platform and specimen handling of the QC-DR1.
The 5.2" color touch screen provides real-time test parameter display and automatic hardness scale conversion across 16+ scales without referencing conversion tables, and the built-in software correction (±3.0 HR, 0.1 HR step) allows fast in-instrument calibration offsets.
With the same compact footprint as the manual QC-HR150A (520×215×700mm, 90kg) but with digital precision at 0.1 HR resolution and 2000-result memory, the QC-DR3 is well suited for laboratories needing improved reproducibility without the full footprint or cost of a fully automated system.
