Overview
Cometech QC-802A Tape Holding Power Tester (Heating Type) is the high-temperature version of the QC-801 series, designed for testing tape holding power (shear adhesion) under elevated temperature conditions up to 200°C.
The operator first sets the required temperature, then sticks a 1-inch-wide tape strip onto a stainless steel plate inside the heated chamber using a 4.5 lb standard roller at 300 mm/min (one pass back and forth).
The steel plate is hung inside the tester with the specified 1 kg counterweight attached; when the tape detaches from the plate, the digital LCD timer stops and records the retention time automatically.
