h2>Overview

The Cometech QC‑677C Manual Hot Press provides stable pressure and temperature so plastic or rubber raw materials can be molded into plates according to a mold shape for testing, comparison, and sample production workflows.

The press features two independent heating platens and a manual pressurization system to clamp the platens, making it practical for factories and laboratories that need repeatable molded plaques or flattened specimens.

With Cometech’s F1C controller, the interface displays key values (force/stress, time, and platen temperatures) so operators can track the molding progress and reduce human operational error.

Key features

  • Manual high-force pressing: Manual hand-pump pressurization method for controlled platen clamping.
  • Independent heating platens: Upper and lower platens are heated independently; the system is described with independent heat dissipation for upper/lower heating plates.
  • Real-time monitoring: Controller provides real-time display including force/stress, upper & lower platen temperature, graph, and time.
  • Designed for sample quality: Clear display and simplified setting helps control molding consistency and reduce operator-to-operator variation.

Standards & test relevance

QC‑677C is commonly used to prepare molded plaques/specimens for downstream mechanical testing; standards referenced for typical use include bending and tensile tests such as ASTM D790 / ISO 178, ASTM D638 and ASTM D412.
