Overview

Cometech QC-659 Electric Plug / Cord Bending Tester simulates repeated bending of electrical cords at the plug entry point — the most common failure location in flexible power cords and cables.
A defined weight is attached to the lower end of the cord specimen; the machine bends the cord back and forth at a fixed angle and speed while continuously monitoring the electrical continuity of the internal conductors.
When the conductor breaks due to bending fatigue, an open circuit is detected automatically and the machine stops — recording the number of bending cycles to failure as the test result.
Six stations run simultaneously, enabling parallel testing of multiple specimens or multiple weight conditions in one test run.
