Overview
Cometech QC-641 DUPONT Impact Tester evaluates paint and coating adhesion by dropping a weighted impact head from a set height onto a coated specimen surface, then inspecting the surface for cracking.
The test involves setting the designated weight and height, allowing the impact head to free-fall onto the specimen, and then leaving the tested specimens for at least one hour before observing whether cracks appear in the coating.
Both the impact head size and the specimen station can be selected to match different paint and coating test requirements.
