QC-639C/D is a mechanical (pointer) pendulum impact tester series for measuring impact resistance of polymer/plastic materials using Izod and Charpy methods, with dedicated software for calculation and correction of results.

  • Two models on the same platform: QC‑639C (up to 12 J) and QC‑639D (up to 25 J).
  • Pointer gauge records impact angle (initial angle 150°); energy is read from the gauge and processed by software.
  • Rapid hammer/vise changeover supports switching between Izod and Charpy to satisfy different ASTM/ISO methods.

Overview

The Cometech QC‑639 series measures absorbed impact energy of polymer specimens using pendulum energy conversion, where hammer precision (speed and mass position) can affect test accuracy.

Both QC‑639C and QC‑639D use a mechanical pointer to record the impact angle, and Cometech’s dedicated software supports calculating and correcting the test results.

Izod and Charpy are the two supported methods, and the machine is designed to change hammers and vises rapidly to meet different test methods and standards (ASTM & ISO).
