Overview

The Cometech QC-619C Abrasion Tester (TABER Abrader) is built around a specimen clamping disk (turntable), two abrading wheels, and two vacuum nozzles that remove abrasion dust during the test.
Operators can select load weights and set the test revolutions/cycles to generate controlled, repeatable wear tracks on the specimen surface.
The instrument supports common wear evaluation approaches including mass loss (weight difference), thickness loss, and visual rating of surface damage.
