Overview
Cometech QC-618A DIN Abrasion Tester is designed for abrasion testing of elastic materials such as rubber, tires, belts, shoe soles, and soft synthetic leather.
A Ø16 mm wear-area specimen is loaded against #60 sandpaper on a drum, and abrasion resistance is evaluated by measuring loss after the defined wear distance.
The drum rotates at about 40 rpm and the tester stops when the abrasion distance reaches 40 m, supporting consistent, standards-based comparison between materials.
