Overview

The Cometech QC‑507M1F Universal Material Tester Horizontal Type is a light, space‑saving horizontal UTM developed primarily for 90° and 180° peel tests and friction tests on low‑force applications such as pressure‑sensitive tapes and electronic materials.

Different peeling angles can be set mechanically, and the tester connects to a PC via TCP/IP for high‑speed data acquisition and analysis; an optional 7‑inch TFT touch display enables stand‑alone operation where a PC is not desired.

The machine is listed as conforming to ISO 7500‑1, JJG 475‑88, ASTM E4, DIN 5122, JIS B7721/B7733, EN 1002‑2, BS 1610 and GB/T 228 for force verification.

Features & functions

  • Peel testing: Supports 90° and 180° peel tests; force sensor position, height and angle are adjustable to match specimen thickness and test geometry.
  • Versatile tests: When connected to standard testing software, the system can perform peel, tensile, friction and related low‑force tests.
  • Universal power & flexible installation: Wide‑range input (100–240 V) and compact footprint make it easy to install in labs or production lines.

Software functions (M1F PC software)

  • Data sampling rate up to 400 Hz; control by keyboard/mouse and by up/down buttons on the machine for quick fixture positioning.
  • Windows 7/8/10 compatible; multi‑language interface (Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Polish).
  • TCP/IP two‑way control; can import multiple test datasets and display simultaneously; supports metric/imperial units.
  • Flexible form/report layouts; user‑defined data names and formulas; data display, graph display or combined view.
  • Data processing: store, recall, list and statistical comparison; X‑Y axis adjustments, graph‑specific marks, interval marks and slope.
  • Supports tensile, compression, bending, peel, spring and other tests; software protections for overload, over‑displacement and overtime.
  • Multiple test actions (e.g., hold tensile/compression, 10‑step sequences); modular specimen and condition settings to reduce operator error.

Optional 7-inch TFT touch display

  • Data display: force, stress, torque, displacement and time.
  • Test settings: speed, direction, auto‑return and break‑point stop.
  • Data analysis: reads maximum force, internal force and break‑point force; stand‑alone calibration capability.
  • Machine protection: over‑travel, overload, overtime stop; up to 50 stored datasets with USB export, factory reset and metric/imperial unit switching.

Applications

  • 90° and 180° peel strength tests for pressure‑sensitive tapes (ASTM D1000, ASTM D3330) and friction tests (ASTM D1894) as cited by distributors.
  • Low‑force tensile and friction tests on electronic components, films, labels and flexible packaging when combined with appropriate grips/fixtures.
