Overview
Cometech QC-337 Elmendorf Tearing Strength Tester measures the force required to propagate a tear in sheet materials. The specimen is clamped, a notch is made with the cutter, and a falling pendulum tears the specimen using its swing energy. The tearing force is read from the scale, and the test force range can be adjusted to match the strength of the specimen.
