Cometech QC-319 Dyeing Rubbing Tester | Color Fastness to Rubbing (Dry / Wet)
- Dyeing rubbing tester for evaluating color fastness to rubbing on dyed textiles, leather, and fluff materials.
- Dry or wet rubbing using white cotton cloth (wet rubbing can be done with organic solvent, depending on your method).
- Selectable rubbing load 200 g or 500 g and reciprocating rubbing at 30 cycles per minute.
- Runs to a set rubbing count and stops automatically; assess staining/contamination on the white cloth to grade rubbing fastness.
- Six specimens can be tested per run for higher lab throughput.

Overview
Cometech QC-319 Dyeing Rubbing Tester is designed to evaluate color fastness to rubbing by performing controlled reciprocating abrasion against a white cotton cloth under a specified load. The rubbing cloth can be used dry or wet, and the tester runs at a fixed rubbing speed until the preset rubbing count is reached. After the test, the staining level on the white cloth is visually assessed to determine the rubbing fastness grade of the specimen.
