Overview
Cometech QC-317M / QC-317N Portable Hydrostatic Head Tester is designed for on-site measurement of textile water-resistance ability. The portable system works without electricity, making it suitable for field inspections and quick checks in production or warehouse environments. The tester supports two evaluation methods: gradually increasing pressure until leakage occurs (hydrostatic head value) or holding at a specified pressure for a fixed time to confirm whether leakage occurs.

Test methods
- Rising-pressure method: operate the manual pressurizing bulb repeatedly to gradually increase pressure; keep pressurizing at about 1 kg/cm²/min, stop when three leakage points appear, and record the gauge reading as the water-resistance value.
- Fixed-pressure method: pressurize to a specified pressure and observe after a fixed time; no leakage means pass.
