Overview
Cometech QC-116D Automated Mullen Burst Tester measures bursting strength for materials such as base paper, corrugated paper, leather, fabrics, and synthetic leather. It is an automatic system with automatic clamping, compensation calculation, and automatic shutdown at the breakpoint for safer and more repeatable testing. The machine can also detect diaphragm pressure when no sample is installed to reduce the risk of diaphragm rupture due to improper operation. To improve accuracy and reduce consumable costs, the tester can automatically calibrate rubber diaphragms based on hydraulic conditions, minimizing the need for periodic aluminum-foil calibration.
