Overview
The Cometech GS-701N is a C-type hardness tester designed for measuring hardness of soft, non‑metal materials such as foam and PU by applying a specified force and reading the value on the pointer dial.
Because hardness readings can vary with operator force and measurement location, Cometech recommends repeating the test 5–10 times and using the average value for correct recording.
Using a fixed-pressure load stand helps provide accurate load and improves measurement accuracy and reproducibility versus handheld-only testing.
