Overview

Cometech GI-M043 Solar Panel Abrasion Tester is purpose-built for evaluating the abrasion resistance and surface durability of solar panel (photovoltaic module) surfaces.
A wool felt abrasion head is loaded with the required weight and moved back and forth over the panel surface at the programmed stroke length and speed — critically, at the end of each stroke, the friction head automatically self-rotates by 20° to simulate realistic multi-directional wear rather than unidirectional scratching.
The operator sets the required load, stroke, speed, and number of cycles; the machine stops automatically when the preset count is reached, and the operator evaluates the surface damage condition of the test specimen.
