Description
The Rubber Rheometer (Moving Die Rheometer – MDR) by Azmoon Polymer Sepahan (APS) is a specialized instrument for the rubber industry. It is designed to determine the precise rheological and mechanical properties of rubber compounds *during* the curing process. As a result, it plays a critical role in the quality control of rubber materials.
Supplied by PTS Lab, this device provides precise data on cure times, scorch times, cure rate index, and elastic torque curves via torque-time and temperature-time graphs.
Key Features & Specifications:
- Intuitive Control: Features a 7-inch color touchscreen for quick setting adjustments and real-time visualization of analyzed graphs.
- Advanced Software & Connectivity: Includes comprehensive computer software for test control, storage, and reporting. It connects to a PC via an advanced control board manufactured by Azmoon Polymer Sepahan.
- Efficient Mold Replacement: A key feature is the ability to replace molds individually without significant temperature loss or delay in sample contact, enhancing test accuracy.
- Precision Thermal Control: Supports a wide temperature range from ambient to 250°C with a high resolution of 0.1°C.
- High-Accuracy Torque Measurement: The operational torque range spans from 0 to 250 deciNewton-meters (dN·m) with an exceptional accuracy of 0.01 dN·m.
- Variable Oscillation: Allows adjustment of mold oscillation frequency (0.5 to 2 Hz) and mechanically selectable oscillation amplitudes at three levels (0.5, 1, and 3 degrees).
- Automated Operation: Features a pneumatic system for mold closure and a DC motor for automatic opening and closing of the protective door.
Standards and Compliance
This rubber rheometer is designed to perform tests in accordance with major international standards for cure characteristic analysis, including:- ISO 6502
- ASTM D5289 (Standard Test Method for Rubber Property—Cure Characteristics Using a Rotorless Cure Meter)
Wide-Ranging Industry Applications
This APS rheometer is an essential tool for any laboratory involved in rubber compounding and processing. Therefore, it is vital for:- Rubber Industry: The primary application. Used for QC of incoming raw materials and optimizing cure processes for final products.
