Overview
Cometech Series P grips are probe-style puncture fixtures — rather than gripping a specimen between two jaws, they drive a hardened pin through or into the specimen surface to measure puncture resistance, break force, and penetration energy.
GR-P010 is designed for thick flexible food packaging specimens (over 25mm thickness) with an ultra-light 71g upper assembly for sensitive low-force puncture testing down to the 10N minimum load cell, making it ideal for soft packaging films and food pouches.
GR-P020 follows ASTM D4833 for standardized plastic film puncture testing on 3mm specimens, with a larger 518g upper probe assembly and 2365g lower mounting block for rigid test fixture stability during higher-speed puncture tests.
