Cometech Series H Grips | Pneumatic Plane, String & Adjustable Grips, | Plastic Film, Rubber, Nylon Wire, Fabric

Series H grips are air-operated pneumatic grips for tensile testing of plastic film, rubber, wire, paper, fabric, leather, and high-tension nylon wire — 6 models covering small plane (GR-H010/H020), pneumatic string (GR-H040/H04A), pneumatic fabric (GR-H130), and single-sided adjustable (GR-H090) grip types.
Capacity range: 20N–3kN; jaw face widths: 16–60mm; specimen thickness: 0.1–30mm; all models −10 to +60°C except GR-H090 (0 to +100°C); min. load cell: 20N–200N.
Pneumatic grips provide uniform, repeatable clamping force at the press of a button — ideal for high-throughput QC testing and specimens too delicate for manual screw-tightening.
Compatible with Cometech universal testing machines; requires external compressed air supply.

Overview

Cometech Series H pneumatic grips replace manual clamping with air-actuated jaw closure, ensuring consistent grip pressure regardless of the operator — a critical advantage for thin films, delicate papers, and soft rubber specimens where over-tightening by hand causes premature failure at the grip face.
The six models span the full range of pneumatic grip applications: GR-H010 and GR-H020 are compact plane grips for film and wire, GR-H040 and GR-H04A are high-tension string grips for nylon wire up to 3kN per ASTM D2256, GR-H130 is a wider pneumatic grip for fabric and leather, and GR-H090 is a single-sided adjustable pneumatic grip for thick flexible specimens up to 30mm.
All H-series grips share the same −10 to +60°C temperature rating (GR-H090: 0 to +100°C) and 200N or lower minimum load cell compatibility for use across the full Cometech UTM range.
