Overview
Cometech Series A grips are compact, self-tightening manual grips designed for tensile, elongation, and tear testing of thin and flexible specimens including rubber sheets, plastic films, leather, and fabric.
All three models in the series use different clamping mechanisms — pliers action, spring-loaded fold, and eccentric roller — to suit different specimen geometries and thickness ranges, while sharing the same 2kN capacity and −10 to +200°C temperature tolerance for use in both ambient and elevated-temperature test environments.
The self-tightening design means grip force increases automatically as test load increases, reducing specimen slippage without requiring the operator to over-tighten and damage thin or delicate specimens.
