Overview
Cometech QC-637B Dropping Ball Impact Tester places the specimen on the machine platform, then drops a steel ball of a designated size and weight from a defined height in free fall onto the specimen's surface.
After impact, the operator observes the damaged condition of the surface; the test height and ball size are both adjustable to match the test conditions required for each specimen.
An optional laser guide component allows fine-tuning of the drop point position at different heights for greater targeting precision.
Key Features
- Electromagnet ball release control for consistent drop repeatability.
- Adjustable drop height (5–200 cm) with ruler scale.
- Protection wall around the testing area to prevent the steel ball from bouncing out.
- Optional: red laser dot for pre-determining the exact ball drop point.
- Suitable for testing plastics, glass, and electronics.
Standards
- JIS A5403
- JIS K6745
