Cometech QC-639V / QC-639W Digital Impact Tester | Izod & Charpy, 7” PLC Touch Screen, CSV Export (Software Optional)

  • Digital pendulum impact tester for measuring impact resistance of polymer specimens using Izod and Charpy methods (ASTM & ISO).
  • 7” PLC touch screen shows impact energy directly; encoder angle detection calculates absorbed energy with a built-in correction system for wind-resistance/friction losses.
  • Rapid changeover of hammers and vises to match different standards and capacities.
  • Optional dedicated software supports analysis, records, report generation, and test data export to CSV (Excel).

Overview

Cometech QC-639V / QC-639W Digital Impact Tester measures absorbed impact energy in pendulum impact tests and is commonly used for Izod and Charpy testing.
The system uses an encoder to detect impact angle and calculate energy, and it includes a correction mechanism to compensate energy loss caused by wind resistance and friction for improved precision.
By changing the impact hammers and specimen vises, the same base machine can be configured to satisfy different ASTM and ISO requirements.

Testing procedure (as shown)

  1. Specimen alignment: Select the Charpy/Izod vise as required; the vise positioning mechanism helps ensure the impact point is centered on the specimen.
  2. Initiating the test: Impact is applied using the pendulum; the release feature supports easier operation.
  3. Data acquisition: Impact data is recorded on the display; the compensating mechanism adjusts energy values for air resistance/friction loss, and test data can be exported to a computer via USB (software dependent).

Standards (as listed)

  • ASTM D256, ASTM D6110, ASTM E23.
  • ISO 180, ISO 148, ISO 179, ISO 13802.
  • EN 10045-1.

Optional accessories

Cometech provides optional hammers and vises with different capacities/striking velocities for Izod and Charpy configurations under different standards.
If you want, I can convert the full optional-accessories tables (Standard / Hammer P/N / Capacity / Striking velocity) into clean HTML tables exactly as in the brochure image.

Optional software (key points)

  • Test data can be output to CSV format (open with Excel).
  • Test settings plus hammer/vise specifications are built into the software so users don’t need to input them one by one.
  • Software can check the energy loss and add it back (correction support).
